-----------------------
The Royals are the most prestigious people in town; lead by the main family the Cross’ they make the rules, and enforce the rules. They are the ones in charge and they take their jobs very seriously and the townspeople all know who they are. The members are either handpicked by the Cross family or they have been born into a minor Royal family in the past that puts them in the position of greatness. The Royal’s always get the money and buy themselves large extravagant homes, expensive art and all the right fashions. They feel obligated to Belmill’s money; after all they are the ones that keep it all together… right? The Royals are made up ((Their importance in their society is in order from most important to the least)) of the Cross family, the Black family, the Menes family, the Wayford family and the Wheelers.
The Citizen
The citizen’s are your average sort of people they try to live their lives like they would have when they were still living. For the most part they follow the rules that are put into place and just ignore the Royals, but many members are against them for using all the funds on themselves and the town and not the townspeople. Limited funds are given to the citizen’s, and they are only given after many months of protests that they need it. There are rebel groups among the citizens that often take revenge and the law into their own hands.
The Living
These are the citizens of Belmill, that for one reason or another are still alive, but not for long. They know that their day is coming the second that they know the secrets of the town, but they just never know when. Others, the fortunate ones, are at least ignorant to the haunting so they at least have a chance albeit slim. These members are always being closely watched by the Royals, the Citizens and the Fallen, all for their own reasons. The Living are generally stressed out, confused or trying to scheme on how they are going to get out of this ghost town.
The Fallen
Here the Fallen are the lowest of the low, they are an uneven mix of the living and the dead. They are pushed away from society because of their disrespect of the Royal families, and the majorities are slaves if they are lucky enough. The Fallen receive no funds and no homes. Many of these members that are living are here because they have tried to escape Belmill and were let off ‘easy’. The living have it the worse, they are scared of dying, of being cursed, and they often have to sell their family members as slaves to the higher families so they can get food to eat. The deceased just try to cope, overthrow the Royals, or work their way back up so they can be trusted again.
Outsiders
There are people that just aren’t from Belmill, and for whatever reason they are here for the time being. They are also subjected to the rules of the Royal’s if they know it or not, and it’s often the Outsiders that are caught in the town’s tangled web. Generally it’s best if they are just in and out of the town as quickly as possible, but sometimes the unforeseen happens and people are stuck in the place that they would never want to be.
